eHub has an interview with Emily Chang of Ideadcodes who with Max Kiesler founded one of our favorite web services: Kayak. Kayak is built to search every airline you want from one place (rather than you having to have several browser windows open, exploring competitive sites). The interview, to be honest is a little dry but there’s this gem for trend spotters:

How would you describe the shift that’s occurring with the web right now to future generations?

Around 2004-2005, the scriptable capabilities of web browsers reached a tipping point, which enabled an explosion of web sites that felt more qualitatively like applications, and less like electronic books.
