With every designer using blacks and greys, fall looks pretty dismal! A dark vetiver green billowy skirt-dress made an appearance on the Behnaz Sarafpour runway but what stuck out about her black and grey collection was the innocent, lady-like silhouette in jersey and knitwear fabrics. We also liked the little lace-applique detailing on the otherwise dull grey skirts.

Red was the color of the moment at Nanette Lepore’s show. Dusty rose, dotted patterns, wide empire waist belts (again!) voluminous sleeves and a floaty silhouette were the highlights of her collection. Lepore’s show tells us that leggings in bold colors will remain hot through fall.
