Why our sudden interest in the Fashion Week? The fashion industry, although a little too late, has recently entered the realm of open-source and blogging. This year one of America’s top designers,
Nanette Lepore , blogs about behind-the-scenes preparations as she gets ready to present her Fall 2006 collection this week. And Anina a top Parisian model has been v-logging her experiences as a model since over a year.
This is a very revolutionary year for the fashion industry. For the first time in the history of Fashion Week, the shows are not going to be exclusive to the fashion editors and celebrities- you can experience the front-row excitement in the very comfort of your home and watch these shows LIVE from IMG Media . or on-demand on MSN Video . Or if you are a Sprint subscriber, you can watch the shows on your phone! (only hitch is you need to have MSN Windows installed on your computers!)
Fashion Bloggers from all over have converged at the Bryant Park tents are filing live reports as the shows happen. Expect interesting observations and PSFK trend predictions for the Fall fashion in the coming days!
Stay tuned.

Believe me, this is an antiquated industry. The majority of requests for fashion shows are still done by fax, not email, so a blog among the designers is even more revolutionary than regular PSFK readers might think.
