The Terranaut
Gizmag takes a long look at Nissan’s concept car that’s designed to protect us all from the harsh climate of Earth. Terranaut has enough refrigerated storage space to house food, water and other provisions for a week in the field. Lightweight tents, sleeping bags built for extreme conditions and cooking facilities are ingenious built into storage compartments in the doors.
Created by London-based Nissan Design Europe, it’s billed as “Earth’s equivalent of a lunar rover” and protects its occupants from the environment so they can become part of it. Ah, how sweet. We think it’s better suited for the long sluggish drive home on Friday night around the M25.
