Boomerang Babies Return To Ant Hill Farms

Research suggests a trend in the UK where cash strapped 30 somethings are returning to their parents homes to live. Barbara Mitchell, author of the book The Boomerang Age says about these Boomerang Babies:

"They felt their friends were doing it; it’s become so much more prevalent and popular that it almost perpetuates itself and reduces the stigma

"Both adult children and their parents often say they have to sacrifice some privacy and independence.

"Of course there are the usual problems of sharing a roof in terms of different personalities, maybe children have different lifestyles. Then there’s issues with respect to boyfriends and girlfriends and helping out around the house and that kind of thing."

We wonder is Ms. Mitchell just wrote the book to embarrass her own kids enough so that they themselves would leave home.

I couldn’t think of anything worse – I mean how broke-ass do you have to be? I’d sooner eat my own shoes.
