Leading marketing blogger Joseph Jaffe talked about the sponsorship of his weekly podcast on his #23 Podcast. We gave him a call to ask him why brands should sponsor his podcast and he told me that there’s plenty of people telling brands to look beyond the thirty second spot but few offering ways to do so. He’s therefore offering sponsorship of a month’s podcast where one of the execs from the brand can co-host a show. Joseph said:

“If you were Yahoo, with sponsorship of ATS will let you put on one of your across thought piece. Surely, if the Yahoo exec is really smart then by association Yahoo looks smart. Brands are missing the golden opportunity to get involved with the medium early.”

Potential sponsors could be Conde Nast and Microsoft, he said.
