The PFSK team picked up the first issue of Rag – which claims to ‘document and deliver’ fashion tabloid style. It looks and feels like a cross between Tank Magazine and The Sun, hard to imagine? Page 11 talks about the ever-tedious coverage of Little Miss Moss and her powder fancies, skip to page 14 to find global montage reports of fashion weeks.
Kay Barron, the founder and editor of Rag – once a staff-writer at the deseased Face Magazine – first thought of this idea when reading a book on the number 25 bus. Rag was first put together while Kay was at University – now the first issue sees light March 2006.
Rag is a free independant newspaper. It is available in Magma, b Store, Claire de Rouen, RD Franks,
American Apparel, No-one, Artwords, the Electric Bar, Paul and Joe Shop and many other places in London. Soon the publication will be distributed in other fashion cities.
