Official : PSFK Is Web 2.0

Well Bob Stumpel says so in this mega list of Web 2.0, and M’soft’s Scobe agrees (or at least links to the list). We’re down the bottom in Marketing 2.0.

The thing is, are we really 2.0? I know we have this great gang of writers almost 35 deep from around the globe and, in theory, anyone can email us and get their trend-spot on the site – but what we love about 2.0 is the fact that it instantly empowers the user not the producer: Flickr lets you tag photos and instant comment, YouTube lets you post any video, any time, in any format. PSFK doesn’t yet offer such instant satisfaction – I suppose the closest the trend blogs come to 2.0 is Trendwatching’s Springwise that engages a huge network of trend spotters; and also the ‘readers contributions’ column on Coolhunting.com where people can add their latest finds via del.icio.us.
