Digg is nice. Though all these new Social Web thingies still seem more like fragments to me. There's still a convincing publishing system missing which brings all the great features of digg, delicious, flickr and all that together. Maybe a big player like Yahoo or Apple has to make the move.

I would like to see a blog system with integrated story aggregation. No more hassling about quoting and where did that post originally come from.

Blogs with close topics should be logically linked and have some kind of story-exchange engine. No more concurrence but collaborative blogging, even between different blogs. Some stories would be aggregated automatically or maybe with user ranking but still there would be (human) editor handpicking some highlight stories and publishes genuine content. Guest Authors or Guest Editors would also be great, too. Bringing even more spice into the blogging biz.

News Vine's ad revenue concept sounds promising, too. Apparently the site's design isn't very appealing.

What do you think?
