Cnet shows a video of a concept car from VW that runs what they call a “Gypsy Dashboard”. The system allows you to connect your iPod and phone via cable and phone and therefore play music, make calls and even send emails using your existing device. There’s also some very far fetched ideas: “Turn around, yes, you really have left the iron on today”, type of message.

There’s a video on VW’s research page that shows all the features of this new dashboard console concept. It also includes the Google Maps/VW Nav System, NVidia 3D Entertainment System, contactless mobile phone charger etc.
