Pearson mentions that Google journalism grosses him out, and when asked to explain, he says: ‘It’s where you don’t get up from behind your desk, where you Google. Maybe you do eight degrees of heavy Googling, or even Lexis Nexis. All the sources are secondary, and it becomes more of an op-ed piece more than anything else, like research masquerading as journalism.’ Fair comment don’t you think?
