Coolhunting points to a new book by Karim Rashid that is about to be published where the designer suggests that everything from redecorating and socializing to fitness, work and sex should be performed with flair and passion. Ami over at CH says:
Though it reads something like a coked-up self-help book, Rashid’s enthusiasm—his cheeky one-liners in varying font sizes, the sections divided into candy-colored layouts, and the near-maniacal practicality —is an engaging prescription for life in the 21st century.

I totally devoted my lunch hour to reading/skimming this book at Border’s. Some of the stuff in there is a little too specialized to Rashid’s taste but there are some things that you can tailor to your lifestyle to make it what you want it to be. I plan to buy this book. I’m currently in the process of self-renewal (I know it sounds a little lame, but it’s really way cool) and I’m in need of some reinforcement. Of course Rashid is probably the best reinforcement since our lives are influenced every moment by design. The other book that could help change your life is Sally Hogshead’s “Radical Careering” and it isn’t just for advertising/design people.
