Sir Terry Leahy, the chief executive of Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer, has invested millions of pounds of his own money in a resort of environmentally friendly luxury villas on the island of Phuket off the coast of southern Thailand, the Daily Telegraph reports..
Leahy said he was a “major investor” in the West Sands development on Phuket’s Mai Khao beach. The resort, which has yet to be built, will comprise 350 luxury apartments along a 500 metre stretch of beach.
