Blogs: It’s A Japanese, English & Chinese World

by Piers Fawkes

In his latest "state of the blogosphere" report, David Sifry of Technorati reports on language and tag use in blogs. English has dropped off as being the main language with more blog posts being written in Japanese (37%) than English (31%) (David Sifry does wonder if the Japanese skew is created by Japanese blogging short posts with their phones).

15% of blog posts are written in Chinese. Other important languages are: Spanish, Italian, Russian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, and German.
