We really only took interest in this item because we were pulled around the streets of Brooklyn on Saturday by a friend on the vain search for ‘Magic Knickers’ or ‘Spanks’ - underwear to help ladies look slimmer: anyway, Gizmodo reports on a new product in the UK that promises to slim your bottom and legs if you wear it for one to four weeks.

The Slim Fit 20 tights have embedded caffeine microcapsules that are released by body heat - and this caffeine will attack the fat. Gizmodo questions the validity of the whole thing but as we’ve seen the concept of impregnated clothes before, we’ll keep an open mind (and remember to buy a pair for our friend).
