fashion fringe top ten

by Guy Brighton in Fashion

Earlier this week Fashion Fringe announced its 10 semi-finalists selected by former winners Basso & Brooke.

When Basso & Brooke claimed the Fashion Fringe Award back in 2004, they probably could not have imaged they’d judge the same project two years later. Responsible for whittling down over 270 applications to 10 semi-finalists, the internationally recognised design duo has tightened their hold on the fashion industry, as have Fashion Fringe, medias are quick to jump on both.

And according to last year’s winner Erdem, the entry process is not an easy one to tackle. Now the 10 semi-finalists: Antonio Santana, Erika Trotzig, Gavin Douglas, Maria Malychina, Popham-Kang, Sarah Hartman, Rui Leonardes, 6 7/8, Stephen Harper and Vrettos Vrettakos, have more hurdles to jump - a series of interviews with a panel of fashion luminaries. The four chosen finalists will then nervously wait till their final showdown at London Fashion Week.

But Basso and Brooke’s volcanic success proves however tough the stages of this fashion boot camp might be, it’s worth the hassle.
