We spotted this service in South Philadelphia recently. It’s a car share service where you pay by the hour for the use of a shared car. PhillyCarShare is a non-profit organization that aims to reduce the automobile dependance in the Philadelphia ragion through community-based car sharing.
Subscribers to the Product Service System service can reserve cars using the internet or the phone and then unlock the locally parked car with a personal electronic key. An itemized invoice is then sent each month detailing charges for time rented.
