The number of bicycle riders crossing the News York City bridges has doubled in 4 years. About 120,000 New Yorkers ride their bikes in the city. The Downtown express says:
Morning bike riding is up across the four East River bridges 35 percent since last year and 100 percent since 2002.

100 ? Not one person was riding a bike into the city previous to 2002? Seriously ? I’m not a rider myself, but that stat seems amazing.
