independent hysteria

With the emergence of today’s streetwear and urban clothing market flourishing like never before, the question naturally becomes what’s up with all these independents.  I for one love independents but only innovative and creative brands that aren’t worried about hype but quality.   Everyone knows you can’t have your ying without your yang so, with the growth of the culture there becomes a saturation of the market.  There  are new independent brands popping daily, even though 75% of them will not last long, it’s just annoying to see so many people taking fashion as just a way to fatten there pockets.  It’s hard to dig through all the BS designers and copy cats out there; it just makes it that much harder to find real talent.   Plus with all these blogs and websites hyping up the madness on the latest collab or new brand that just dropped only causes more confusion to the masses.  But alas there’s hope just yet, because the true worthy brands will weather the storm and beat this trend hyped phase sweeping the streets we come to love.
