Scoopt Words

By Piers Fawkes on June 7, 2006

The folk behind citizen-paparazzi site, Scoopt, have launched a service that lets bloggers sell their content to magazine and newspaper publishers. It’s a step up from the BlogBurst service that offers the content for free to mainstream publishers. Bloggers receive 50% of the fee for all first sales and 75% of sales thereafter.

A word of warning though – how much of your blog content do you actually own?? PSFK was contacted recently because a Canadian newspaper published an article from an international magazine without permission because we printed an except of it. Yeah – somehow the paper thought our dodgy copyright statement (which we need to update quickly) suggested they can print anything that’s printed or linked to on our pages…

Scoopt Words – sell your blog content to the media…
