We’ve been away in London so apologies to you guys who are so up to date on your New York media biz – but for the rest of ya, interesting news about movements in the media biz.

Gawker Media, forerunners of the blog network business, are chopping a couple of sites from their roster: Sploid and Screenhead. For us, Sploid never seemed to get the tabloid-angle it tried to mimic and Screenhead’s huge scary eyes kept us well away.
