Last week we forgot to mention that Google had launched a PayPal-like payment service called Checkout. Woohoo. This week, we find out that eBay is refusing to let their users employ the system because it fails to meet their quality standards.

Since eBay owns PayPal, perhaps we should be somewhat skeptical of their stated reason for not allowing payments on Google’s competing service.
