By Industrial Brand on July 14, 2006

Mark Busse and the crew from Industrial Brand Creative will be in Seattle all week covering the event as part of TAXI Design Network‘s international media team. Special emphasis will be on the International Conference July 14 and 15, with presentations from the reknowned leaders in the communication design industry such Sara Little Turnbull, the Director of the Process of Change, Innovation, and Design Laboratory at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

To kick off the event, Icograda held a press conference to announce a number of important intitiatives such as the launch of +DESIGN, a program that collects and showcases inspiring design solutions that have made an impact on society. The concept and design were created by Rob Sweetman and Jeff Harrison at ReThink with development donated by 6S Marketing, both in Vancouver, BC Canada. The website and supporting campaign profile design solutions that successfully solve creative challenges and make a difference. A new way of viewing the importance of design by highlighting innovative ways of addressing old problems such as how to make daily use items more fun and cheerful, +DESIGN has the potential of becoming a social movement within the design community.
