First, couple months back Bollywood releases a superhero movie "Krrish" with a home-grown superhero. And now, Virgin Comics (affiliated to Richard Branson and others) promises to introduce superhero comics and animated films with characters drawn from India and Indian mythology. For instance, Spiderman India is a citizen of Mumbai (better known as Bombay).

We’ll probably see more of this as India takes its place on not only the global business stage, but the cultural one as well. I noted this in an earlier post of mine here:
