Hello readers. I need some suggestions.
OK, so somehow I’ve got myself running a ‘breakout session’ at the AAAA’s in Miami on Tuedsay 25th. What happens, is that attendees can choose from 5 sessions and one of my competitors turns out to be Russell Davies. I’m still wondering what to talk about so (before I realised Russell was my arch-rival ;) I phoned him and asked him for some advice. Be entertaining, he told me. And why not ask the readers to suggest what I should talk about.
(It’s either good advice or a cunning plan to ruin me…).
So here I am.
If you are attending (or even if you aren’t), what would you want Piers Fawkes, trends/blogging fellow to talk about? What would be useful to you? How could I run the session?
I appreciate any suggestions. Leave them in the Comments box and I’ll respond. Anyone who suggests a live video link to Russell’s session gets banned from the site. ;)

What: Trends - a fool’s gold business.
How: tell them and they forget, teach them and they’ll remember, involve them them and they will learn.

How about you talk about idea-generation and sparking innovation? Get them involved in a live idea-generation- leave them energized, refreshed.. and exhausted.
After all-they’ve also gotta learn how to set new trends ;)

how about “how the internet has changed trendspotters from ’spotters’ into creators and promoters?”

I didn’t realise we were on at the same time. Why don’t we join forces or something?
