UK/US Office Mash Up

Erm, get this: a future episode of the US version of the Office is going to feature characters from the UK version of the Office. The funny thing is that the US version is a rewrite of the UK script – so the characters are based upon the original British characters – Just yanked up. The Sun tells us:

Ricky [Gervais] is an executive producer on the US series and is writing an upcoming episode that he may appear in. Among those who could make cameos are Pirates Of The Caribbean star Mackenzie Crook who played Gareth; Martin Freeman (Tim); Lucy Davis (Dawn).

After a slow start, the US show is beginning to repeat some of the huge success of the original. Last week it received five Emmy nominations including best comedy actor for its star Steve Carell.

Does anyone remember that StarTrek episode where Kirk met alt. universe Kirk?
