Customization Gone Bland: Heinz Labels

UpsidedownCouldn’t they have given us different ingredients to choose from - or maybe arty wraps? No, we get a site from Heinz that lets people write messages on their labels on their red-sauce bottles to put in the fridge.

Bland. Faddish.

  1. ha ha - I sent of for a bunch of these like 2 weeks ago…still waiting.

I managed to right “ooh you saucy bitch” which I’m planning on giving to my girlfriend as a birthday gift.

  2. Hey Piers,

We’ve posted a blank template of the Heinz label on our site and we are hosting a Flickr group for people to upload their lesser appropriate Heinz labels here:

  3. When I first caught wind of this I thought the exact same thing. But I wonder, are there limits to what they’ll print? I can imagine some pretty offensive labels for ketchup. Someone should test that to see if they come back and refuse to print something.

May as well send blank labels and a Sharpie. At least there’s cross-promotion opportunities in that.
