In this hyper-connected world, it is not uncommon for music artists to record and collaborate on songs whilst being in seperate countries, however, Colin Mutchler has produced an whole album in just this way.
The first album of its kind, "Premixed" was built over time by
producers who had never met, piecing together elements legally from the
creative commons.
Colin’s original accapella was uploaded to ccMixer – an online community site for people who want their work to be remixed – after his original work was remixed over 60 times, the album is the aggregation of the 10 best.
The revenue from the sale of the album will be shared amongst the producers involved.
