Visual Radio

by Piers Fawkes

Folks who use their radio function on their mobile phone can now interact with a small ‘website’ on their phone’s screen. The screen shows the current track info and other features include the ability to download a ringtone of the song that is playing (sounds like gold to us).

The technology has been supplied by Nokia for a couple of years now, but this service is only now available through the O2 carrier network. MediaBuyerPlanner reports that O2 says that 65 percent of people use the radio function of their Nokia mobile phone, and 40 percent of those use the radio at least once a day.
