Oh dear, Apple is getting a little bit of stick at the moment – what with them suing websites with the word ‘pod’ in them and then not exactly freeing the tunes available on iTunes… so, on Saturday, September 30th, hazmat suited protestors from a group called DefectiveByDesign members will gather at the flagship Apple stores in New York and London to kick-off awareness for “Oct 3rd, Day Against DRM”.

  1. This has been covered on a lot of Mac podcasts like MacBreak lately. While it’s easy to get angry at Apple, actually they are doing what is necessary to keep their ipod trademark secure. Part of maintaining a trademark involved defending it and clearly Apple is doing this by going after smaller instances of infraction. While it seems like big company vs. the little guy, it’s actually normal process.
