In a completely unprecedented step, Spanish football club, F.C. Barcelona, the current European Champions have announced that they will carry sponsorship on their famous red and blue shirts for the first time in the clubs history.

However, rather than take the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of sponsorship cash that they could have demanded, Barca have donated the space on the shirt to Unicef. Whilst this may be the gateway to more ludicrous sponsorship deals in the future a move like this should be much applauded and admired.

Imagine if your brand gave over some previous hallowed territory to charity? Random acts of kindness such as this can be incredibly powerful and give a little bit back.
