The ICA in London has been at the forefront of cutting edge ideas and has been hosting the very successful Pecha Kucha evenings. Now it is the turn of another new idea to play centre stage.
Flypitch is the name of the new event and it’s basically an informal way for talented young designers to showcase their work and try to get it made. Designers turn-up with a suitcase full of their own stuff and then explain it. Each designer will talk for about ten minutes before the audience gets to ask questions.
Speakers confirmed so far include Committee, Doshi Levien, Nik Roope (Hulger), Troika, Tracey Neuls, Random International, Diplo Magazine, Moritz Waldemeyer, &Made and Max Lamb plus more TBC.
The show is on 23 September at the London Design Embassy within the ICA and runs from 2pm to 6pm.
