The web has seen a huge rise in the number of coolhunting sites over the last two years. Kickstarted by the original, and arguably best site, Josh Rubin’s Coolhunting, many have followed such as Josh Spear, the Coolhunter and Mooch amongst others.

As if there wasn’t already enough to read a new coolhunting web tv channel has launched. code.tv describes itself as ‘the ultimate guide to things that aren’t beneath you’. Providing video reports from fashion hotspots LA and New York, code provides content for both men and women. code.tv focuses on restaurants, clubs, bars, shops and cultural venues. The hosts present short reviews on different venues everyweek.

The idea successfully brings new life to the coolhunting site, with well produced and interesting reports. It feels exclusive but less cutting edge than the likes of coolhunting. The tag line of ‘the ultimate guide to things that aren’t beneath you’ feels very American Psycho ;)

Enjoy.
