200609191044Pecha Kucha (which is Japanese for the sound of conversation) was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (KD Architecture), was conceived in 2003 in Tokyo as a place for creatives, academics and entrepreneurs to meet, network, and show their work and projects in public.

The key to Pecha Kucha Night is its patented system: Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show. The presenters come from different disciplines: Art, Design, Fashion, Architecture, Communication, Music, Photography, Cinema, Multimedia, Advertising and Anthropology. We mentioned the night before here.

The PKN Buenos Aires: – Vol.02 will be held on 3 October 2006 at Ciudad Cultural Konex in El Abasto neighbourhood, launched by May Groppo together with Brío from Grupo Konex. Vol. 2 presenters include: the art group “Mondongo”, the fashion designers “Hermanos Estebecorena”, the humorist “Liniers”, graphic designers “Jopo de Gomina” and the architect “Clorindo Testa”, searchers of no trends “The Uncoolhunter” and the urbanists from “Supersudaca“, among others.
