Push to Talk

Push to Talk

By Henry Lambert on September 15, 2006

It’s getting to the point now where if you can think of an idea for an outdoor medium, the chances are that it can be produced. So when mobile phone maker Solo came up with an idea for promoting the push to talk feature on their phone the media owners got on with producing it. However, the idea was pretty special.

The way Push to Talk works is basically like a walkie-talkie, so to demonstrate this Solo made all the outdoor ads, situated at bus shelters, in to walkie-talkies that were connected to other bus stops around Toronto. What a great way to demonstrate a product benefit by using the advertising medium.
