Images_25Do you give up your seat on the bus or train to elderly citizens? How about holding the door open for others? Well if you live in Boston you might get rewarded for these random acts of kindness as part of
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority – MBTA’s
courtesy campaign.

People are rewarded through employees with $2 Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards, which was donated for the cause. Nice little campaign although judging by the following quotes from the article which covered the story, some people were not that impressed:

To be quite honest, I would rather they put the money towards increasing efficiencies on the T. But it was a nice award.

I can see this being a nice little campaign, but it’s only a distraction from the lack of consistent, quality service.
