For a two weeks starting October 2nd, YouTube are launching a competition called Underground, wehreby unsigned bands can upload their videos to be voted on my the YouTube community.
There are four grand prizes available which include:
- Appearance on ABC’s "Good Morning Amercia" in New York City unveiling winners
- Exclusive photo shoot and interview with top music publication
- Gibson will outfit your band with all-new equipment
- Roundtrip airfare and lodging in New York City for press junket November 29 – December 1, 2006
- Use of Gibson VIP A-List Tour bus while in New York City
A great way to attract bands to the site and also maybe a precursor to the expansion plans of YouTube?
