I`m excited to see the movie… but what is sad people actually belive he’s from a different culture… i mean… even the songs snd where the movie is filmed are not from kazachstan.. they are from romania.. it`s just sad that some people actually belived this stuff

Some of the song are from Serbia, dont 4get there is a lot of gypses in serbia, and the song i know there are serbina 4 sure, i am serb

Let me make a correction here- actually, the music was not from Serbia- but it was taken from a famous Bosnian movie called “Dom za Vjesanje” and Sarajevo’s rock band “Bijelo Dugme” and its group leader Goran Bregovic. Some music was from Macedonia (Esma Redjepova) as well.

The gypsy music in the movie borat is actually bosnian …goran bragovic one of the writers is bosnian and is born in sarajevo

Excepting the parts from USA … all movie is filmed in Romania and most of the songs are romanian, and some are from Goran Bregovic. ;) They are talking some romanian also during the movie .. !

The folk songs is from Sweden. No question about it, typical Swedish folk lyric songs. We have gypsys here to you now.

Most of he music is serbian, addoption is done by Bregovic and varied artists from the Balkans. There is no Bosian nationality Goran was Born in Bosna of mixed parents in the days the country was Yugoslavia.
