Furla are just about to unveil their new advertising campaign, which features its women employees instead of models. According to Furla president Giovanna Furlanetto it projects an image that customers can relate to whilst also being cost-efficient; "Not everyone can afford Uma Thurman". As the magazines bulge with advertising shots of Kate Moss, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, Nicole Kidman et al, the backlash is growing, and Furla have picked the perfect time to re-connect with the ‘real’ woman, even if it is only for financial reasons!
