Interview with Chris Bangle, chief of design for BMW
Over on Design and Emotion, there is a great interview with Chris Bangle, an provocative American automobile designer who is the current chief of design for the BMW group – the first American to hold the position. His designs have been labeled controversial and appear to have split Beemer buffs right down the middle, but despite the criticisms, his “emotional” designs have kept sales up, and in the case of the frequently discussed BMW 7 Series, it has gone on to become the best selling 7 series of all time.
