shocking news- Topshop brand director Jane Sheperdson has resigned. The woman who has been credited with the transformation of the brand from drab high-street separates company into the huge sucess story and fashion-leader dominating the UK market, was apparently not properly consulted about Philip Green’s recent decision to hire Kate Moss in a design role.
Although the statement from the company claims the reason was purely that she "has decided that after a long commitment to Topshop it is time for a change", the gossip is that she fell out with Sir Phillip- not surprising really as i’ll bet her pay packet is nowhere near the £3 million that he has reportedly offered Kate!
The big questions now are who will snap her up first? How many of her team will she take with her? And after the disasterous profits slump at Bhs and questions around the truthfulness of Arcadia’s trading figures, will the loss of one of his strongest team players spell the end of the Phillip Green’s reign on the high street?
