Marcel Wanders for Puma

Womenswear Daily reports on a new accessories line for Puma created by Marcel Wanders. The darling of the design circuit, Wanders has been involved not only in the products but also in their setting by creating a new store prototype, all of which is due to be unveiled in Manhattan’s Union Square sometime this month.

Antonio Bertone, director of global brand management for Puma explained that the interior is designed in four modular pieces that take about three days to assemble. “The concept is the truck drives up with the store, like a shipping
crate, on the back of it.”. I’m sure Uniqlo have just done something very similar, but the idea of the moveable store designed spcifically for one range is a new and interesting twist- plus it saves on the need for merchandisers and window dressers!!
