Paul Smith has just opened the doors to its New York flagship store on Greene Street in SOHO. Our first impression is Amazing!
As with all Paul Smith shops worldwide, the interior of 142 Greene
Street has been designed by Paul Smith and his team. Honoring the
art-meets-commerce spirit of this once gallery-laden enclave, the
design subtly embraces the art space concept.Located in the Soho district of Manhattan, this landmark building is a
pristine example of turn of the century, cast iron architecture
specific to this South-of-Houston neighborhood. The shop is made up of
a series of rooms linked by a long corridor of a series of doors that
leads your eye through to a wonderful view of the British country
landscape. As you enter the shop the artist Richard Woods has created
specially a freestanding wall that separates the window display to the
entrance of the shop.In classic Paul Smith style the shop mixes the old with the new. Oak
shelving, reclaimed cabinets, a reclaimed oak floor with an English
walnut veneer sits in contrast with a steel clad counter.
The new shop is located at 142 Greene Street, Soho, NY
