Sony Video Walkman

With all the talk about Microsofts Zune vs Apples iPod last week, Sony nearly snuck this under the radar – it’s developing a new Video-enabled Walkman.

Currently, Sony holds only 10% share of the MP3 market and is obviously in catch-up mode. Senior Vice President Hiroshi Yoshioka told a news conference:

We are developing a product that handles images, but I cannot make any comment on specific plans.

I suppose this will compliment the Sony Mylo but be a specific MP3/MP4 combo – watch this space folks.
