Urban Spam In Wired: It’s Madvertising!

The Wired site has an interesting article on Urban Spam by Nick Currie where he compares the Asian attitude towards advertising with the European one:

But Berlin, too, has its share of annoying advertising. It’s not unusual to see the whole side of a building, windows and all, covered by a huge advertising sheet. The city’s cheerful yellow trams often sport a stick-on sheet of halftone appliqué that forms a product image for people on the street, but disrupts the passengers’ view with a mesh of big gray dots.
