Clarks, the UK shoe company known for it’s comfort and quality rather than it’s style, are trying a new idea in attempt to lure a new generation of consumers- childrens shoes with toys hidden in the soles!
Launching as part of next year’s autumn/ winter collection the innovative range, called Yotoy, will come with a toy that has been split in two pieces – one piece being placed in each heel. Playing to traditional stereotypes the boys toy is a race car called Zoomz, and the girls toy is a doll called Daisy Change with interchangeable hairstyles and clothing. A great the concept, but being a boring company they have gone for predictability even with a new innovation. If only they made the toys a range of animé characters or something more collectable it could be the new playground craze.

To be honest, I saw the ad on TV, and thought “They must be running out of ideas for toys” The concept isn’t that great, a toy that hides in your shoe, that’s obviously very small, why can;t you put it in your pocket? Is everyone forgetting these?

My little girl thinks this is a brilliant idea, she usually hates going for school shoes, but I can honestly say this time she was so excited when she realized what was in the heel.
We have set up the house in the lid and put some little polly pocket furniture inside.I just wish we could buy the remaining dolls because now she wants to collect them all.
Well done Clarks

my daughter has got yotoy shoes and the accessories for them are breaking. we only got them a week ago/ can you buy any more?

There is talk of releasing extras for the Yotoys which can be brought seperately, At the moment it is only Blond Daisy change with the school shoes and boots, Brunette Daisy Change with the trainers and Redhead Daisy change eith the slippers, There is also a Daisy School bag whioch comes with extra clothing for Daisy, and a handbag is also available in Black and Brown which come with some extras as well.
As for Clare Bayliss i recommend you take the shoes and Yotoy into yourlocal store as see if they can talk to customer services on your behalf, they should be able to help.

im an actual shoe fitter at brantano and i hate fitting these shoes, every kid wants them and when we don’t have there size in stock they would say a smaller or bigger size fits even when it doesnt just to get the toy, then we get complaints from parents saying you sold us wrong shoes when it isnt our fault yes we check the shoes but we cannot say whether they feel comfortable to a child so bad move clark very bad move

we have just purchased a pair of trainers for our little boy aged 5. The trainers were size 12, blue and silver and had a yotoy car inside. He opened the shoe to show his grandma who is going to wrap them for him, we now cannot find one half of the car. Would it be possible to send us another car before Christmas so that we can put them in his shoes for him
Thankyou

Did anyone find an address or website to buy the spare toys? My little boy has had his a grand total of 3 days! and he has now lost a wheel. He is very upset.

My son had these shoes less than 24 hours before he lost a wheel – any luck on spares address?

If you go to your local clarks store i’m sure they wouldn’t mind giving you the odd wheel. The display shoes have the car parts taken out of them so they are spares anyway. As long as you ask the right person it should be no problem.

I took my daughter to Clarks to buy some shoes ready for September, she wanted shoes like her friends (daisy change yotoy) but they don’t come in her size (9F). We did try her with the mollymay shoes with the magical cat but she wouldn’t even try them. It’s really hard to explain to 4year old. We ended up not getting any shoes as she was crying so much.

I bought these daisy doll shoes for my 6 year old daughter. After 2 weeks of continous wear, the insole which folds in half to reveal the doll, started to move, and formed a lump under her foot. Clarks said they could only offer a full refund if my daughters feet had not grown. the measured her feet and said they had grown half a size !! result- half my money back as a voucher. when I bought the shoes they said that there was room for growth. Anyway it makes sense that if an insole is not ‘fixed’ it will indeed move with the motion of the foot. Bad design if you ask me
