Youth Publishers Jump Pond
A British and an American publisher are both crossing the Atlantic to find new markets. paidContent report, British music magazine NME plans to target the US by expanding its site editorial to talk to a US audience. Ben Perreau is the editor of NME.com told a news conference:
“That involves us building up our editorial team with international streams. It’s a huge project, effectively to grow the amount of news and blogs we have, and overall content, and build that out internationally.”
ThisIsLondon says that user-generated-youth channel Current TV is planning to launch in the UK:
BSkyB CEO James Murdoch said the channel would reach one in three UK homes. Current TV and Sky are to set up a UK headquarters and appoint British presenters to provide a link between programmes and to front news bulletins.
