Channel Tunnel Offers New Challenge To Euro-Air Travel

200611131516At a cost of £5.8bn, the upgraded Channel Tunnel Rail Link will begin service in just a year’s time. The new line arrives at London’s Saint Pancreas station and Eurostar, the main operator on the line, belives that this will provide an alternative to air travel for Midlanders and Northerners. Eurostar already carries around 8.5 million passengers a year, the Independent reports.
