Nokia Concept Phone

by Jeff Squires

Nokia just previewed their new concept phone, the Nokia 888 communicator, the winner of Nokia’s Benelux design contest.  The most radical aspect of the design is its ability to change shape.  The bracelet-like phone can be rolled up, bent, or even clipped to your clothing.  Plus, it has the ability to record shapes, allowing you to personalize its position to fit your changing needs.

The entire interface lacks keys, relying on its flexible touch screen and speech recognition.  To accommodate the versatile design, a liquid battery powers the phone.  Other functions include GPS, PDA, and email capability.

The inspiration behind the phone is that:

"The perfect form" does not exist. "Form follows you," we create the perfect form for each function.
