Parkour In Buenos Aires

by Piers Fawkes

Parkour is the art of movement that proposes to surpass all urban obstacles in the most fluid, fast and technical possible way. Some define it as extreme sport, but traucers or “tracers”, as those who practice it are called, affirm that it is life philosophy.

The system was created by the end of 80’s by David Belle, who began to develop it in the suburbs of Paris inspired by the skills that his father like voluntary fireman made.

In the advanced levels more, traucers take a walk by the heights, jumping between the urban constructions to great distances of the ground. For that reason it is necessary to reach the knowledge of one same one and to be advancing slowly. Every day more and more fans to this sport can be be seen by the Costa Salguero, Aeroparque, Puerto Madero and ATC.

But at nights because there are less people and the urban obstacles are free the traceurs are there. Traceurs never stop, they always do it.
